Design Impact on People

Our designs not only consider what is best for animals, but what is best for people.  Just as environment influences animal wellness, your environment impacts how you feel and perform.  For example, we now have a collection of studies that prove positively that sunlit, well-ventilated environments reduce stress and increase productivity and performance.

Other examples of things that we consider when designing spaces for people are:

  • Providing ergonomically correct work surfaces, heights, and access for staff that can reduce injuries.
  • Reducing stress by using ceiling tiles with a high noise reduction coefficient to dampen overall sound levels in the building.
  • Reducing back injuries by providing overhead hoists or lift tables to assist staff in moving animals.
